Time to ride with Inyatsi and Nkonyeni

29 July 2015

Cyclists of all ages will take to the track on 8 August 2015 for the annual Inyatsi Nkonyeni G2G MTB Classic. The race will start and end at the Nkonyeni Golf Estate in Mbabane, Swaziland.

Inyatsi Construction and Nkonyeni Golf Estate have once again partnered to bring this world class event to life with 10, 20, 35 and 65 km races designed for anyone to compete in, no matter their fitness level.

This event is designed to educate cyclists about road safety with the “No helmet – No ride” rule that will be strongly enforced during this year’s race. Inyatsi Construction also aims to promote and develop the Swazi tourism industry with the event by encouraging sponsorship from various organisations that have footholds in the various surrounding countries.

Over the years Inyatsi Construction has been involved with various other sports sponsorships which include golf, netball and the very successful soccer team, Mbabane Swallows. On a smaller scale Inyatsi Construction has sponsored local soccer academies and local first division soccer teams to help advance football in the country and now we are moving into the big league.

“Health and fitness is held very close to our hearts here at Inyatsi Construction, as we plan to invest in the communities surrounding our construction projects for years to come. We feel that this is best accomplished by creating a healthy and happy community that is brought together through sport,” said Vitor Oliveira, Chairman on the Inyatsi cycling Club.

Through sport and play children learn the value of team work, which becomes a crucial life skill when they plan to enter the work force. The sports teams that Inyatsi Construction sponsors also provide jobs and training for young adults to become coaches as well as referees for the various sports.

A CULTURE OF CARING AT INYATSI CONSTRUCTION

Swaziland, 20 July 2015 - Company values are becoming increasingly important to employees and customers, and fulfil a major role in the ultimate success of companies. A culture of caring is therefore one of the most valuable aspects a company can offer.

At Inyatsi Construction various corporate social investment initiatives are part of the company’s culture of caring. It creates a workforce involved in local communities, customers who return time and again because they like to do business with a caring company, and positive outcomes in communities.

One of these initiatives is the Inyatsi Toy Ride. The company organises an annual cycling race to collect food parcels, as well as toys and clothing for orphaned and vulnerable children. Cyclists enter the race by donating one of these items. More than 500 children from various communities benefit from this project each year.

The Inyatsi Wellness programme is aimed at employees through mobile clinics at all its sites and work stations, providing free services such as BMI, BP, cholesterol and glucose testing and screening for TB as well as HIV testing and counselling.

Inyatsi also supports the Swaziland team that will compete in the Special Olympics in 2015. For the past two years, Inyatsi has also provided sponsorship for SOS Children’s Villages to assist with housing, school fees, as well as food and clothing costs for a number of orphaned children living in the SOS Villages.

“A caring culture builds long-term employee, consumer and citizen trust through corporate social responsibility initiatives. These are the basis for sustainable business models, which in turn creates an environment in which we can innovate and grow,” says Frans Pienaar, Chairman of Inyatsi Construction.
Inyatsi is fully committed to the development of all communities in which it operates, and continues to make a considerable contribution to the upliftment of these societies. Employees are encouraged to become involved in corporate social investment projects and help to identify projects.

“In this mutually beneficial environment, all parties involved share in the success of the company. This means that our projects will enjoy the necessary support they need throughout society,” says Frans.
