Health, Safety & Environment

Inyatsi Construction Group Holdings Health, Safety and Environment System was developed to make sure that all projects undertaken by the group complies with all relevant legal requirements in all the countries we participate in.

Background:

Inyatsi Construction Group Holdings Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) System was developed to ensure that all projects undertaken by the group comply with all relevant legal requirements in all the countries in which we participate.

All the group employees together with sub-contractors working under Inyatsi are orientated about the HSE programme and they know their role as employees. Everything is clearly defined on the Health & Safety Policy together with the Environmental Policy.

A safe environment boosts employee morale which in turn, increases productivity, efficiency and profit margins.

Currently Inyatsi Group Holdings (PTY) LTD has 33 sites running in four different countries. We believe that managing health, safety and environmental risks in the workplace is of extreme importance.

Achievements:

In 2013, Inyatsi Group received 3 stars in the NOSA 5 star integrated system.  In 2014 the NOSA audit was done and a percentage of 81% was obtained putting the group in a 4 star recommendation.

Milestones:

The Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) for the group as at June 2013 was 1.28 and the effort score was 73%.  In June 2014 the LTIFR for group was 0.76 and the effort score was 81%. Inyatsi Construction Group achieved over 1 million lost time injury free hours in October and November 2014, for all its subsidiaries.

Goals:

To maintain a high level of safety awareness in all employees and have a zero incident/accident record.
