Good Governance

At Inyatsi we subscribe to the tenets of good governance. To that end we have embarked on a corporate renewal agenda that will see us implementing the recommendations of the King Code of Governance Principles for South Africa 2009 (King III ). Our group of companies is led by the Group Board of Directors, however, each subsidiary has its own Board, which is governed by its own Board charter. To lessen the burden on the Board there are three Board committees, namely the Audit Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the IT Steering Committee.

The day-to-day business of the company is seen to by a Competent Executive committee led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who is accountable to the Board. In our bid to align ourselves to the King III code, we recognised that the roles of the Chairman and CEO are separate and accordingly they operate under separate board-approved mandates.

We strive for excellence in governance and to use the words of Oliver Wendell Holmes “the greatest thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in which direction we are moving…”.

Compliance & Certification

SACAS ISO 9001:2015

ISO
Inyatsi Construction Group Holdings is 100% ISO 9001:2015 certified.

The entire ISO System was formulated from the Group Head Office in Swaziland. It took two years to get the system written, implemented and we finally received our first ISO certificate in August 2013.

The next subsidiary to receive their ISO Certificate was Construction Associates in December 2013. NCC Moçambique was awarded their ISO 9001:2008 certificate in May 2014 and in August 2014, Inyatsi Zambia was the final subsidiary to be awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certificate.

This entire process began in June 2011, initially requiring a detailed analysis and identification of all company procedures, policies and relevant documentation from each department, thereafter implementing the system and going through the audit process with our nominated Accredited Certification Company, SACAS. ISO 9001:2015 is a generic standard, this means that the same standards can be applied to any organization, large or small, whatever its product or service.

It is important to highlight that the aim of ISO 9001 is to assure that organizations consistently meet customer needs, resulting in customer satisfaction. Inyatsi has received a lot of positive feedback from clients since adoption of this system. We focus controls on management of the processes that enable us to achieve and improve customer satisfaction which has helped in facilitating continual improvement.

In today’s intensely competitive global market, there is no such thing as a safe, protected market. When competitors are continuously striving to improve, one must do so too.
